Humility
Hey Guys,
I got a big lesson in taking things for granted the last
few weeks. I went to reply to my emails one day and discovered that my
space bar didn't work. It seems funny that something as trivial as a space
bar could hinder my emailing. I mean think about it. What does it add to
your letter? A space...literally nothing! And yet it is almost impossible
to write a letter without it. Anyways, after taking the entire keyboard
apart and cleaning it and putting it back together it still didn't work.
So I could read my emails but I couldn't respond, and it drove me crazy!!!
Anyways, we got a new keyboard so I'm back. It just got me to thinking
about how many things we as Christians, and especially as Americans, take
for granted. We don't have to worry about where our next meal is going
to come from, or if we will have a coat for the winter. We don't have to
hide our faith or worry about being persecuted for it. Think about it guys,
we are so blessed!!! Because of all these things we tend to take our faith
for granted and get lazy with our commitment. And it's when we get lazy
and let down our gaurd that satan attacks. We need to be daily putting
on the armour of God and spending time in prayer. I see all the problems
going on right now and it seems apparent to me that all we are focusing
on are the differences. Charsimatic vs. orthodox...youth vs. adults...and
on and on and on. I feel that this whole situation could be easily settled
if people wouldn't let their pride get in the way. I know that is easier
said than done, I struggle with it every day, but we need to ask God to
humble us so that there might be unity in the church once again. God bless
you all and keep praying for ended relationships.
In His love,
Annie
